2017 Construction Forecast

As each year progresses, the construction activity ebbs and flows. Traditionally, the summer months are the most active for construction work. However, there are opportunities for projects throughout the service area to be under construction at any time, as needed. Each project will vary in its complexity, size, scale and potential for traffic impacts. To keep you informed of the District related construction activities that you may see in the coming months, please review the following information. Alliance Regional Biofilter – Upper Klineline Interceptor

A regional biofilter is needed to treat odors coming from the Klineline and St. Johns interceptor sewers in the vicinity of NE Salmon Creek Avenue and I- 205. Work will largely occur on the property of the Liberty Bible Church of the Nazarene, but a portion will occur in NE Salmon Creek Avenue.

Klineline Pump Station Replacement

The District’s Klineline Pump Station was built in 1973 and has reached the end of its useful life. This project will replace the station wetwell, pumps, piping, valves, electrical gear, and force main to provide many more decades of service.

Gravity Restoration and Replacement (R&R) Programs

The District’s gravity sewers are in need of R&R in various locations throughout the collection system. Several programs are in place to identify these locations and construct repairs. These programs include Main Repairs, Main Lining, and Lateral Lining and will take place at various times during 2017.

NE 10th Avenue Bridge County Road Project

Clark County is building a bridge on NE 10th Avenue over Whipple Creek between NE 154th Street and NE 164th Street. The District has partnered with the County to install gravity and pressure lines to provide sewer service to this area.

NE 119th Street County Road Project (NE 50th Ave to NE 72nd Ave)

Clark County is improving NE 119th Street between NE 50th Ave and NE 72nd Ave. The District has partnered with the County to install gravity and pressure lines to provide sewer service to this rapidly developing area.

NE 99th Street/SR 503 Intersection County Road Project

Clark County is improving the intersection of NE 99th Street and SR 503. The District has partnered with the County to replace several hundred feet of sewer that has been a maintenance challenge for several years.

35th Avenue Roundabout

The City of Ridgefield is building a new roundabout at the intersection of Pioneer Street and 35th Avenue. The District has partnered with the City to install several hundred feet of pressure line across Pioneer Street to provide future service.

Alliance Battle Ground Force Main Repairs
